Rejoining is not the issue here. nither is spectating.
all you need to do is add a button to the join screen saying spectator. By pushing this button you lock that game for you to join it and can now see it as a spectator but are not abale to join it any more.
From the point you push spectator the game is permanantly locked Also the locked out player must not be able to comunicete with the players in the game giveing them the information they see, But i think the first fix will do alot for the game becasue most people dont wana sit around gaining no SP ratting on how many troops another player has in there capital.

Here are a few
Dictator-Efects the amount of troops able to produce and is adjusted based on the Win Loose % of player.
IE a good win makes troops easyer for them to get dou to there Popularity and a bad win percentage makes the public feer joining the army
Great Oritator-Raise income or lowers troop cost

You could also do as suggested and make it so based on a players ingame actions thins go +/- for there general like was said But i would give it a score like polotics score a politc shore of say 100 would alow you yo alli up with another country for a few turns with out aproval of the player where as a -100 may make it so when some one sends you a alli offer you cant except it unless they send it more them one time or it could make you have to wait a few turns before you can say yes.

a +/- system could be implimented for every aspect or score in the game but theses are the ones previosly brought up so im trying to stay on subject.

Im sorry about the Spectator comment. I missed it.
you could alow spectator view for people who want to watch but in order to join a game in progress players must let them in.

EX:spectator "UrlanderPendragon" wishes to join. Yes or No

I propose they see what we see.

Once the game is underway, they should only see unit Icons that are non stelthed and location. They should not know force strength or hidden units just like the people playing the game.

I would also like to stress in a few games ive seen people another coalition start late joining together inorder to overforce(troop count) the players curently in play. then blitz and tag team them to distroy them 1 at a time useing the free troop report they get on the map and the extra troops.

To put this strategicly its like playing a great game of chess with a great oponent then have some one add 3 queens right by one or both players kings that even if you remove them from play come back over and over again.

Please dont let then see the best spot to put there queens to give the players who have earned the SP a fair chance. We all know the best countrys and the playing field well this is enuff. By seeing that there are bombers here and tanks there thats enuff info to get a good idea as to where you should pick to start.

Who knows could be 1 tank or 1000 but thats the chance you take moveing into a hostile are.

While were on this subject i aslo feel after a player rejoins 3 times the admin should be alowed to kick them to help prevent this iligitamate tactic. But thats a whole other discusion in its own.

Block incoming chat from harassing or spaming player.
ability to keep the fullscreen view while chating.
ability to shrink down chatbox so its not in the way.
DURING shrink a tone so you know people are talking to you.

No dont lower defence in other stratagys its harder to get back to your capital with ground troops so bombers though more expensive then infentry or melitia can sometimes be used for a quick defence on larger maps. I prefer bombers for a defensive air unit over stealtys and tanks for this reson+cost. nerfing there defence only makes there offence stronger vs other bombers giving the guy who is joining late and blitzing just for some quick SP an even bigger advantage. If anything i would like to see the defence go up on alot of units to slow down the game and ballance out defencive stratagys with offencive ones. as it is now its verry hard to win when your oponent has the gold. i will continue defending the defence stratagy till more people start seeing how much better a game is as the ballance of defence VS offence is inproved.

I attack alli citys all the time when there empty and i always get them. I too was in that game of tanks and not only did funy stuff hapen to you buy also i had them droping and rejoining to look at the map. and every time i nocked out a player they would respawn and blitz me. And then take the biggest cash countrys, drop back out rejoin load it up with 100 troops then drop out again, over and over useing the free view of the map as a blatenet abuse of the game. i also had 2 subs kill 45infentry in britton becasue i had transports there? he attacked me and i had those troops in the cap there from early in the game.

Yes it is a bug because people are exploting it to cheet by lifting the fog of war. Besides if late join is on you can respawn anywhere on the map and you get an average number based on game by lifting fog of war your also seeing that that guy with 50 countrys cap has troops here but not there thas also being exploited by people who loose then rejoin. you should not also get information other players in the game dont have.
the end result is people are useing it to cheet! it needs to be fixed.
Any cheeting is bad and costs player numbers to drop.

When playing a game some people drop out then reconnect so that they can get an idea how many troops are on the map in peoples city. this makes the fog of war part of the game not work properly. could you instal the fog of war on the sign in screen so no one knows what people have and how many.

Yea i was in that game and recived 7.5k sp But the world rejoined 9 times and took me out. 5k was a medal though.
if your counting medals i got 28k in a world game when i was in my first week.

I love this idea of generals, Kudos to you guys. Still have a wish though. When i find a new general do i keep him after game ends for following games also can i elect not to put aunlocked general into play so i can use it in another game?

Turn time is a totaly different thing then late joins. I agree with you on this point of where did they come from.
But right now you know when some one will be joining by it saying soand so connected.

Correct BUT china is not 1 country and Japan is sea locked so it has to build transports to move its units.
SO indea can take out any china province 1on1 and it will also beat japan when it gets there from land.
Remember Indea does not only give you a great income it also gives you insaine troop advantage, all you need to win with it is move them.

Then late joins would have even more of a handicap. if your loosing to late joins then your not protecting your capital well or over exerting your froces and building to big of troops.

I dont know if licencing would be required if you dont use the whole name.
if you say Abrems(company) tank model then i can see licencing issues but if you chage the moddle to A(represinting abrems)m1 so tank would be names Am1. PS do all war games have to pay licencing? i see alot of companys useing the name.

Indea As is,
Advantages
1 kill one city to get a great bonus to your income.
2 You can conqure middle east with 1 transport and the melitia you get.
3 you can boat over to saudi arabia with southern city
4 you can hold off japan and china with Just melitia
5 the countrys bordering it are all wimps and free points(again with melitia+1 air trans)
6 Prozimity to china makes is a launchpad for invading china.
7 Bigger then the USA
8 Bigger then china
9 Bigger then turky or Germany Or britton
10 Creates 80+melita when all citys are captured which you can use to capture more citys

Disadvantages
1 Large land mass
2 lots of inferntry(easy to kill when you wait 1 week before invading)


I think that there are way to many advantages here and that=Unballance Expecialy if its stronger then the US or china. If i have to take multiple capitals for china or the US why not indea?

You would not ret a revolt in a real world situation for running a deficet. A revolt generaly happens when a country is telling its troops to do things that are imoral or refusing to listen to the camaders in the field.There are other resons for a revolt but those are the BIG 2

Thats true you can kick them OR give a 1 min time limit to vote thats not to long but long enuff for eveyone to vote.
and just like end turn when all votes are in then the clock resumes.

Yes thats the way it is now but it takes time to read the votes so your shure some one is not doing something your unshure of. so if there is a vote the turn ends the vote comes up and the next turn dont start till all votes are in or refused.

Yell thats Because China is also overpowered. it takes all of europ and part of ither the mid-east or russia to conqure china+japan with indea.

Lets face it tighten up the map make indea 3 parts and split china up into a few more parts, make Russia get a little bost by moveing a few of its citys to more strategic locations and add a few to indea and chinas new split up. this will leave the units,money and map the same but make it harder to get a Monster country in 1 turn for 12 tanks.

ALSO dont start the clock till after all votes are in. in a 2min game it may take 30 seconds to decide what changes you want and what ones you dont want.

You cant beat asia unless you control all of europe+Mid east turky and part of russia.
then you have a large enuff front.

Strengths of asia are plane as day but a few that are overlooked is alot of good capitals are sea based alowing you to pop 40 distroyers on the map in one turn to retake any lost countrys.
Another strength is its so far back you dont even need troops in it to defend it just build them as players advance past your main line.

the only weekness of asia is its distance needed to get to eupor but that is actualy an advantage because it alows you to use the melitia you get by conquring the citys as your troops and all you need to buy is 1 transport and bombers to acompany them to blitz across the map rapeing the world for cash.

Sometimes when i move a troop i change my mind on where i want it to go so i need to find that little red arrow.
This sometimes is almost imposible to do. so i propose a fix.
when the Unit Box comes up add a Recal button to the page that displays the stack
Hitting this button will move the unit back to its last position same as the little Red X does.

Yes thats what i mean. Your world conflicts are much harder then the conflicts here. Infentry are your Last cheep defence for holding your capital. Thats Y i feel they need to be tweeked not to make them unbeatable but to make shure even a small country can last a round or 2 aganst a decent player. In the long run the attacker wins 90% of conflicts thats realworld. But they dont win with just 1 attack.
