AtWar: New Years Eve 2013

Well, well, 2013 is now coming to a close. Many things happened abroad, across the Interwebs and the world. However, AtWar is a special place, it is a haven to many different ideaologies and races. Here at AtWar dem Neo-Nazis, Rashists, Homosexuals, Men trying to be girls, Old Farts and Younguns come together to play some not so friendly games. 2013 was a big year though, or at least thats how I felt, so I dedicate this forum topic to 2013 in AtWar, to all its glories and faults.
I want this post to be filled with the memoriam of their greatest feats, events or thought/actions that took place for players. I know we all have some to share, as do I. So I invite players to put their two-bit nonsense of what they think was important. I will now continue with my chronicle (please edited if you think I gots the info wrong, after all some of it was from other AtWar players).
Where do I begin? Huh, I could start with complaining or gratitude. I guess I'll start with the personal. One of my most memorable moments was joining Death in his crusade, was there when the Deathvolution began and then missed the results of the pointless and meaningless endeavor. Before that I came out of a near year absence of Afterwind to find that Afterwind was gone, replaced by a strange new site. I entered the site was exposed to the Custom Maps. I remember the rise and fall of the once Great UN Game and the continued bullshit of various and neverending WW2 games as WW1 was soon forgotten to Pistolr's unchallengable map (not until recently that is). The birth of non-historical maps brought a change as we saw maps like Toy Wars, and other fantasy. And as its TV Rating rose, its popularity also rose as Game of Thrones took a fore front for non-UN-yet-like-UN Games.
For me towards the end of this year, I started working on my first maps (not finished), entered a clan, the Cartographer Society. I watched a rivalry explode as we saw a new map upser (most of know which map I'm talking of) get destroyed by a collaborator (we all know who) and finally get replaced by a completely shitty version of it. It brought a fear of collaborators and the loss of more maps to the hearts of some AtWar players. I left the drama and joined another coalition, which I was kicked from for Inactivity (a glorious moment). I was soon muted (for my first time, 15 mins, so lonely) by a certain shitty and hated mod of mine and learned to appreciate Meester. I nearly rose two ranks from 5 to 7(yay). I know there is a lot I missed, like the numerous crashes of AtWar and the equally numerous alts of TopHats. But I leave that to you to share on your memories, I will continue to post here, but I welcome you to share as well.
Have a fun (and safe, I guess) New Year's PreParty, Party, AfterParty and Hangover Party. I look forward to another year with the arrival of me gaining another two ranks, entering the finals of the coming Royal Rumble and the emergence of my maps. Happy New Year's! Drink all the Booze and get all the Titties (even if you are a girl, cuz that is hot and no one will care today).
