Need help finding parts for a PC

Upon knowing my laptop isn't very good, I wish to build a desktop.

Also 4gbs of ram is pretty low.

What would you suggest? Could it be around 3.5GHz for max of 300?

4gbs of ram is all you need, most games are console ports and don't use much ram, just cpu and gpu intensive.

I have a Nividia 670 and its been working fine for me, it gets a little hot but not much. I haven't played Battlefield 4 but it works pretty good for newer games. I get about 60fps in metro 2033, dead space 3, EU4, CivV

On what settings and resol? Sounds like a powerful, yet cheap card.

EDIT: What's the size of your fan? I am thinking of getting one slightly bigger than yours.
