In the southern hemisphere, what is known to us as 'winter' is summer to them, and vice versa.

He actually probably means summer vacation for school

most of europe and america take it in june-august

most of southern hemisphere take it around christmas time

Same. Summer is nice but can get a little hot. Winter almost always sucks, 4 feet of snow is only fun for a few hours till your freezing And in Spring claritin is the only reason I can go outside.
