Ukraine Troubles

Ok guys, I made the big mistake of not saving up for Faster Infantry, and I also don't have SM. I don't know how to play Ukraine now.
I have tried a PD expansion; didn't work.
I have tried blitz expansion; didn't work.
I really don't know what to do. I can play most 3v3 countries to some extent, but I cannot figure out Ukraine.
Any help?

You will lack many upgrades at Rank 6, best thing to do is to grind the game till you have some essential upgrades.
Until that it wall always feel like you're "lacking", same thing happened to me when i tried to learn some basics of EU+ expansions.

My r5-6 ukr strat (which beat so many people) was a not-boosted DS. Now that it's boosted, It's my r9 ukr strat too

try ds, you could like it. other good but hard ones are gc and gw (need marine ups)

I tried the not boosted DS, idk how it worked for u because a non boosted DS is terrible.

For example:
Each Heli can only carry 1 Marine. The amount of Helis and Marines need to just take RC is ridiculous.
I don't know how to do a good Ukr expansion with this strat.

you wasted about 30k sp for new clans and havnt enough for sm?
you should restet your upgrades and buy sm,
p.s. blitz is useless

Today I failed with DS on 1 militia. I attacked with 1 Heli, and 1 Marine, it's a very random strategy at times.

Ah ok. I seem to have an unnatural amount of fails against switz and was starting to think it could be bugged. Like display 1 militia but really be 1 inf or something like that. But probably just weird rng for me always failing it.lol

What about simply playing RA Ukr? No upgrades needed

I concur 5 helis aint enough for 8 inf, 6 almost never fail (I would typically send 6 heli and gen and dont recal a fail)

Not rly good idea to send gen, it only adds lucky and if it fails gg gen.

thats a bug amok still hasnt fixed.

Like tact said, DS is a good starter strat if you don't have SM, plus it's fun to play.

Not rly good idea to send gen, it only adds lucky and if it fails gg gen.

When money is tight u save 120, I usually attack a 8 inf neutral city only once or twice a game early turns t1 or 2

if you havent the infantry range upgrade forget about pd. blitz/sm/gc/ra will be fine for you for now. Similarly avoid gw if you havent marine range upgrade. Ukraine is the hardest of europe+ countries to play well. Requires lots of micro, efficencey, judgement(reading your opponent etc.) and rangeskills(particularly with strats like gw pd and even sm).

Most expansions(not all) will require rnw and rc t1, why? because they're the highest sources of income in reach. After that it depends on your strat, who you are playing and what your intentions are. If its teamgames you want them for, watch some cws and see what high ranks do.

I know this is late, but speaking as a Rank 5 who also doesn't have faster Infantry or SM (MoS fit my style better and then I needed to upgrade my general after buying premium), and played Ukraine DS 3vs3 just yesterday, its actually a pretty powerful strategy. And I used 3 helis + 3 Marines to take Russia Central, and 3 helis + 2 Marines for Poland and next turn took RNW. That -2 defence bonus against Infantry came in very handy. Germany fell pretty quick.

Same xaxa was my most op country in 3v3, now its my suckiest.
