When are next POTS and POTY choosing?

Last message I've send BertanK about this was two months ago, he said he would make a poll to see if mods continue this...

I know your feel. I also aspired to PotY before... though I'll avoid posting that long history here.

The reason for not letting anyone but own mods to control the PotY awars is very simple. There is no guarantee that the supporter team will do a good job or not try to manipulate the results. The usual nominated players are those who actively contribute to the game, but it happens that many of those players are supporters (they may feel tempted to try getting advantage over the competition).

Another good reason is that, while you need to prove to (the majority of the) mods that you are able to judge and give a fair decision, this is not a request to be a supporter (which, unlike mod position, is chosen mostly by contributions). Sure we are the most helpful players, but not necessary the most fair users in this community.

Uh, I don't know how much supporters could influence the vote, they would vote for themselves but Im fairly sure everyone is too lazy to beg/bribe other people's votes.

Also, noob clarification: poty is nominated for fair judgement? I wouldve thought it would be contribution based, since as far as Im aware you dont get any extra responsibility as poty

Just some few ways:
- Allowing alts to vote, or submitting fake votes (voting for another player).
- Deleting votes.
- Altering the results / votes (editing them).

All three are fairly easy to do if you have a shared link to the results (surveymonkey for example). It depends mostly on how it is done though.

The players who chooses the winner need to have a fair judgement.

Another person could disqualify someone by personal reasons...

Oooh, ok, I confused the judges with the recipient
