Why is the new Star Wars movie so shit.

I watched the new movie this friday, and i could not believe how utter garbage that was. i was practically waiting for the movie to be over.

and don't get me wrong, i don't hate all of the new sequals. i liked episode 7 and i was really excited for episode 8, but it was SO SHIT.

is this just me or what?

most of my friends that i've talked to who has seen the movie, agree that it was trash.

the thing i didn't understand though, is why the rotten tomato and other ratings are so high when the movie is so clearly dog shit.

The humor was bad. Felt like they were trying to make a marvel movie and not star wars. luke was written completely wrong. superman leia was one of the most stupid things i have ever seen.

it is one of the worst story telling in a movie i've ever seen. they took a massive shit on the questions that the 7th movie raised. wasted half the fucking movie with a garbage subplot that didn't make any sense.

I loved the movie, great story, only a couple of things irked me about it.
The humor was good, I felt it was placed right and didn't interfere with any serious moments at all.

However superman Leia was dumb, Rose being some fat engineer to suddenly capable and allowed to pilot aircraft? And Yoda's animations were reverted back to the 70's.

Just Disney pumping out any old crap to recoup some of the billions of $ they paid for the Star Wars rights. Something Protobytes should be doing with all their copyright protected trademarks being used to monetise user generated digital content.....

These sequels have both let me down. Episode 7 was just episode 4 again and 8 really didn't further the story. They really should have had some sub plots going on like there were in the past. Rogue 1 was fantastic though. They told the story in such a great way and made it lead perfectly up to the first trilogy and in just one movie. Why are the struggling to tell a story across three films? That gives them so much lead way on how to tell a new story and so much time for character development sub story lines. Why are they doing us dirty like this

A lot of people disliked it, a lot of people liked it. Arguments are valid for both since the movie had many bad and good things. Just wasn't your kind of movie script.

Personally I liked it a lot. Best thing was suicidal hyperspace attack scene; worst thing was that Leia in space, like wtf...

Trek > SW.

But k, last sts movies are total trash. New effect maded all looks like cartoon + bad stories, noob humor.

I feel like it was an all round decent movie, if it had been labelled as something else then everyone would have loved it. If I'm honest they could have made the best movie ever but the star war fans would still call it shit just because its a new movie and that.

no, it's not just about starwars. the movie just sucks ass in general.
