Introducing the MEGA series

The MEGA series is the 1st uniform format of a specific country blown to AW Europe Default size.
REAL recent (>2007) population figures used with Income based on REAL GDP (nominal) of the relevant divisions.
All of these maps uses this naming format "Scaled-MEGA____" and have scenario/preset making open to ALL
Bottom 20% of cities by population will become "Extras"

What about England, Wales, Scottland and Ireland?

The trouble with UK is that for a normal amount of divisions like (30-40), I need to use NUTS 2 which merges some English and Scottish Counties together which takes more time than making islands out of Japan and Indonesia.

Mexico, I can definitely do the map with its 31 regions, lets put that on the waiting list shall we?

I have made Indonesia for now. As for Russia, there are 83 divisions... meaning I have to use at least 300 cities, which is out of the current scale....
Don't worry, I will do Russia sooner or later, just preferably not at the moment.

I have drawn all the borders for the UK map... City input awaits...

Pakistan officially has 4 top level administrative regions (before splitting into 100+ smaller divisions) as opposed to India with 28 so India would probably take priority at the moment.

I can most probably make Iran/Saudi Arabia depending on Gdp informations.

France is a definite map. Easy to make, useful for scenarios but only has 22 divisions.

I started off with just 110 cities with Japan and added more and corrected capitals. Now there are 182 cities... The imbalance of Japan's south Honshu (main island) region is purely demographical. See here:

I can probably make Iran with 31 provinces... but Iraq has only 18 divisions.

I try not to allow divisions to have more than 7 cities each for the time being. (Florida has all its spaces full) Sorry. It is just too small relative to other cities... (only 12k population) Even if popular demand calls me to add more cities in the US map, you won't have a good chance...

IMO ezzatam, your map looks great.
I was gonna use that same map but decided to copy and paste from Google Maps like I did with my California Map, then break up the prefectures into sub prefectures and cities.
Also Hazardous, I may or may not make a Japan scenario, haven't thought about it, but you gave me some ideas now that you brought it up.

Something called population density mate.... I have already tried to avoid as much as possible. If you think Japanese cities are stack close together, you should go and see Utah's Ultimate Europe. MegaJapan is mild in comparison...

I would just suggest using less cities. Some places, especially in Japan, are awfully cluttered and won't be much fun to play. We learned long time ago that you have to sacrifice some accuracy to improve gameplay.

Ivan, thanks for the response, it is really encouraging for us "mere mortals". Everything is standardised at the moment and I enjoy this.

Only the Kyoto-Osaka-Hyogo and Tokyo-Saitama-Chiba areas are clumped... the other 40 of them are fine...

If I removed some cities there, only the reinforcement will really change. I don't prefer a poor & small province taking a larger province easily (eg: Cuba taking USA)

I mean the map has only been played 1 time and it was before the update of city addition. I have been trying my best to avoid such occurrences now, I ensured that no single city Division existed and added balance that way.

My map is 2860x 3586 already... If you blow the map up then the North East and the South West will have a lot of travelling to do...
Just a word of warning...

Btw, I am making my 8th and 9th map on Mexico and Turkey respectively.

I have been adding up the regions for the countries in Yugoslavia... total of 103 Divisions... You probably have to wait for it like Russia... Sorry...
