Firstly i'll give you a tip - insults are only insulting if you willing to be insulted by them and secondly grow up, please. we do not need to start some crazy censor campaign in this game just because of words. cant you live in the real world instead.

There is a word that describes such actions. It is called Cyberbullying. Sorry if you are strong enough for hold it, but we are not. It does hurt the mind, and trust it mind damage has been always more dearly than own body damage.

You shouldn't encourage someone to hold up against insults. But rather to report them. Is not about being mentally strong or weak, but to not let anyone steal your freedom.

You might not care, but I am ethically forced to tell you to not do this.

Firstly if somebody in the real world attacks me or mine of course this affects me directly why wouldnt i do something about it. I mean where did you even come up with that, it seems a bit overbearing when the topic is about banning words and words is the only thing i've referred to in this what the hell.

This has nothing to do with bullying. The only aspect of this thread is about the use of pre determined "bad words" which this thread is trying to make me unable to use which i consider a breach of my freedoms so shove that in your example. Also the idea some some words are not to be used because they are determined as bad is one of those things that makes me feel like my brain is going numb.

I'm not mentally stronger than anyone else i just have the brainpower to prioritize and to be honest if someone tries insulting me good on them its a waste of there own time not mine i dont have to do anything. but this isnt about insulting someone its just about certain words and i assure you that if somebody wants to insult you badly enough they wont be hampered by a ban on a few words they will just get creative.
On the bullying thing there is a mute button,use it. if they take it further than random insults in chat room then that is a real matter and if reported will be taken care of swiftly i assume

This idea is just so unnecessary.

and don't worry i do understand that not all people on this game might have a mature outlook on life due to there age or whatever but that doesnt mean i have to suffer because of it.

There is one thing called freedom, and another different called debauchery. As far as I am aware, your freedom ends when it interferes on someother's freedom on a very excessive way. So yes, your freedom have one limit.

As for the filter violation, I've already suggested that it should've reported and mods should apply a punishment to it. I do agree with you that we cannot 100% reduce it, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to do it.

I Would Recommend Instead Muting the Agresive player for Several Minutes, a Ban would be Excesive.

So yes, it is based around that, and the game goes into actual scenarios such as WWII, Korea, Yugoslavia, Middle East, etc. If you don't find that offensive, but you find people saying mean things offensive, clearly you have some fucked up moral system.

If the developers had infinite time, I'd suggest that there be an option to completely remove the chat feature, somewhere in settings, for those who aren't able to handle it.

Morality is subjective. This really depends on whether you view AtWar as an abstract mental exercise, or a model of the real world.

Chat filters in AW? Please, don't turn this into some habbo shit where you can't even use the word "strip".
If you get so offended by people insulting you that you have to make a topic about it, then the Internet is not for you. Sure, the rules are there to let everyone have a good time while playing the game and the moderators are there to enforce those rules, but we don't need the whole retarded chat filter thing.

Besides, those "swear words" that you are complaining about and saying that people should not be able to even use on AW, are the same words often used in a friendly chit-chat. So, it all depends on the context.
It's just as offensive to say "I had sexual intercourse with your mother" or "I made love to your mother" as saying "I fucked your mother".
Not to mention that those chat filtering scripts/programs, whatever you call them, are easy to bypass.
Like, if you want to say "I fucked ur mum" you can say "I fuqed ur mum" or "I fked ur mum" or something like that.

Conclusion; mods can judge better than a stupid machine and whether someone uses an "insult" offensively can be a touchy subject sometimes and it takes a human (moderator) to decide. So no, AW doesn't need this, in my opinion, stupid idea.
