Hello I am creating a scenario and have special one time event units, for example 'Caesar.'
Now I want Caesar to be strong ie. ~ 15 attack and 15 defence
The problem i have run into is that when a stack with Caesar attacks anything, he always attacks first and dies.
How can I correct this? Thanks.

By default, the unit with the most attack will attack (and die) first. So, the only way you could make Caesar die later on is by decreasing his attack or having units with greater attack in the stack. Since I don't think you want to do either of those, there is one thing you can do. Instead of giving Caesar high attack and defence, give him a very high critical chance. This way he will not attack first but he will still be strong because of he will land a lot of critical hits.

You could do what riddler said with crits or just increase the HP

I think HP is better because HP count for both defense and offense and are worth more than 1 attack/defense point. By giving him say 5 extra hp and lowering 5 attack it'd be balanced.
