Fund raiser

I have been talking to Amok about the costs of a new programmer and this idea crossed my mind. In order for it to work I would like to see how many players would actually be willing to donate money to see atwar get changed.

Amok is planning on hiring a new programmer and he needs the community support! By not supporting a fund raiser you are not supporting atwar.

I'll only support through a go fund me, as I don't trust these turks and slavs on aw. Or if amok has a personal pay pal.

Let's donate money to a game that's seen nothing but profit over a five-year period, where the devs haven't put any investment of the profit back into the game itself in that timespan. Right.

My point was that there's been enough profit in five years to warrant the current dev team to invest in a new programmer themselves after a trial period.

People have paid enough into this game surely, I've bought 2 lifetime prems and countless monthly prems, how much more do they need?

Why would I put more money into this game? Many people (myself included) feel that our money has already been wasted on nothing for this game. I am fully confident that any penny i put into this game will not be invested back into my game but rather Amok's (and anyone else who is working with him) pocket.

I wouldn't say ive wasted money on atwar, it has given me countless hours of entertainment, made a lot of good friends on this website, thats the only reason why i still play. But as Jared said, i also am not confident that any more money given to the owners would be put straight back into the game itself.

Instead of paying programmers, why don't we just let the many volunteers do work on the code? Amok can see whose code is functional, and then implement whoever's code is working. Professionals are very expensive compared to non; if we absolutely need to, we can hire a professional but we have an ample amount of volunteers here who are probably very capable.
