Defense lines

So I have a defense line that is about seven units long. If someone attacks one point in the line, will all the troops in the line get pulled into the fight?

No. Just the units forming the nodes of the wall where the attacker attacks (in your case two units). The rest of the wall will stand and the units won't move.
